So far in 2006 Mickley Stud has sold yearlings up to
£50,000 at Tattersalls (part 11) and the seven flat yearlings sold
to date have averaged £21,800.
But the best price this year was achieved at the Tattersalls
Sale when the first 3yo by Beat All that we sold realised 100,000 euros
to Willie Mullins.
A home bred colt by Beat All which we sold as a foal
for £25000 was reoffered as a yearling and sold for £57000
to Richard Hannon making his vendor a tidy profit, its very encouraging
to see the keen demand for his stock.
This is the first year we have produced horses from
Mickley Stud but in the previous fourteen years at Helshaw Grange Richard
bred four Group 1 fillies and purchased the Irish Guineas
winner Saoire as a foal for £4000 reselling her as a yearling
for 65000 euros.
We also bred the fillies Ardbrea Lady by Overbury
and other black type horses we have sold by Overbury include Over Siberia,
Overbury Affair and Publican.
